This is a complete 1970 1800 18GH Engine out of a 1970 MGB GT I am parting out . Engine number 18GH22833 with block number 12H3248 .It is a complete take out. What you see is what you get. Instead of pulling this apart into a million pieces, I am going to first try and sell it complete. Complete with intake and exhaust manifolds, SU carbs, motor mounts, oil filter assembly, with remote, ,,flywheel, pressure plate, ,distributor,, etc. This came from a very, very long time sitting GT. We tried turning the engine and got nothing. Pulled the plugs and put Marvel Mystery Oil down all the holes and have let it sit the last week. Still does not turn. Did not want to force it and ruin rings etc, in case it loosens up on its own. But do not count on that. Figure rebuilding it, just to be safe. You may luck out and get it loose. Or not. It came from a low mile GT that was very original and had not been around the world a couple times. We drained the oil and it did not look bad at all. . If you are thinking of building a MGB engine, this will be a great one to work with. It is on a pallet ready to go if you want to arrange truck freight.Check Freightquote for rates. My shop zip code is 86314. Have forklift to load to save money on truck extra charge for using their lift. Or pick up at my shop in Prescott Valley , Az . I travel around the country with my truck and trailer mostly on the West Coast and might be able to help get it to you or close.
